Job Description : Job Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Downstream Process Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in Solomon Benchmarking methodologies and refinery performance analysis. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting benchmarking studies, analyzing refinery performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving operational excellence across downstream manufacturing assets. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate Solomon benchmarking studies, ensuring data accuracy and relevance. Conduct on-site data collection, validation, verification, and quality reviews during benchmarking assessments. Analyze Solomon benchmarking results to evaluate plant performance and competitive positioning. Prepare detailed technical reports with findings, recommendations, and performance improvement plans. Develop and execute strategies to close identified performance gaps and achieve measurable operational improvements. Prepare and implement expense optimization and margin improvement initiatives. Work closely with refinery operations teams to establish performance targets and monitor progress using Solomon metrics. Evaluate the impact of capital projects and process modifications on Solomon benchmarking performance. Prepare periodic benchmarking reports and present key performance insights to senior management. Mentor junior engineers on Solomon benchmarking methodologies and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Master's Degree or other advanced qualification will be an added advantage. Experience Required Minimum 15 years of refinery process engineering experience. At least 7 years of specialized, hands-on experience in Solomon Benchmarking and refinery performance analysis. Strong understanding of refinery process units, operations, and performance improvement methodologies. Demonstrated success in implementing Solomon benchmarking recommendations to improve plant performance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools used for Solomon benchmarking is preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills.
