Job Description : Engineer & Implement Projects to meet Business Requirements i. Understand Business requirements and finalise design basis incorporating latest technology providing competitive edge to business. ii. Interface with Engg Consultant on matters related to · Solar power solutions · Battery Infrastructure for battery charging/swapping solution for electric vehicles iii. Set standards for uniformity across all designs iv. Review of concepts\sign-off all design and spec documents v. Review TBE/TR for battery charging systems/equipment vi. Participate in vendor evaluation and qualification. vii. Assist in review technical bid packages, technical evaluation and participate in technical negotiations. viii. Provide resolution to escalated field issues related solar / EV charging ix. Review terms and conditions and DOR in Engg and Contract documents Finalise execution keeping in mind cost optimisation and project timelines Design and Implement Profit Improvement Opportunities(PIO) i. Understand operational requirements and provide competitive engineered solutions. Value engineering without compromising on ESH and operational requirements. Adoption of technology solutions to gain competitive advantage i. Attend and participate in professional group meeting/seminars/Think tank, stay abreast of new trends. ii. Research emerging/new products and recommend their applicability to business. Engineering analysis of projects to provide: preliminary design, alternatives, life cycle cost leading to equipment selection with appropriate technology. Process Management towards Operational Excellence i. Develop and standardise procedures and methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of engineering services. Provide technical direction and guidance for all product development. Finalisation of Design Basis Provide technical decision for special projects requiring engineering and HSE expertise. Recommend technology/standards for competitive advantage Approve charging infrastructure for retail outlets Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills) Sound knowledge of engineering specifications, project procedures and work instructions Knowledge of battery bank design and charging criteria. Multi-discipline knowledge -significance and validation of design inputs Value Engineering methodology Sound logical and analytical skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Necessary: Degree in Electrical Engineering Familiarity to battery power system analysis Familiarity of various software tools of electrical designs i.e. cables sizing, earthing & lighting calculation Experience : Minimum 15 years in the field of Electrical detail engineering with exposure to design of battery banks and charging infrastructure
